This is my first attempt with a Newtonian telescope (I showed the telescope off in my previous video). Today’s target was the Pacman nebula. This telescope has a focal length of 750mm compared to over 1200mm with my SCT, so now larger objects may fit a little better in the picture. But learning to collimate was way harder than I thought it would be. Tonight, I could only get in 35 minutes of exposure time before the clouds rolled in – ruining my chances at a color image. Mount: Celestron AVX
Imaging Camera: ZWO ASI 1600MM-Cool (mono)
Filters: Ha=7×300″
Total exposure time=35 minutes
Guidescope: Orion ST80
Guide Camera: Lodestar X2
Guide Software: PHD2
Darks: 20, Bias: 20, Flats: 20
Capture software: Nebulosity
