June 2018. Mars Dust Storm Saturn at opposition. Seeing conditions were in and out at best. Had to back off to a 2.5 powermate instead of the typical 3x X-cel barlow I normally use. The planets being low in the sky along with a turbulant atmosphere have kept me from getting as good of images this year as in 2017. The Mars dust storm has grown to a golbal even over the last days and weeks. Firecapture shows my focal length as 4900mm compared to the 7000mm I typically shoot the planets at. Maybe coming weeks leading up to Mars opposition will be better. Thank you for watching and please subscribe to my channel.
